What a great time of year: Spring is in the air! It is time for spring cleaning and garage sales. The good old purge. Nothing feels better than to run lean without old baggage.
I’m a tosser. When Dr. Jean goes away without me, she is always nervous what I might get rid of when she is gone 🙂 My response is, “If you can’t identify what you’re missing then you won’t miss it.” She doesn’t think it’s that clever.
Your body has a natural spring cleaning too. The liver and gallbladder naturally clean in the spring. Actually they have a daily cleaning too around 3-4 am. If you are waking up every night around this time, it is a sign there might be some trouble in your liver cleaning hour.
We had quite a few people take part in our detox challenge after the holidays. That always makes sense because most of us have strayed from healthy eating during the holidays and we can use a reset and some cleaning. But now is another perfect time to detox because it’s the natural time of the year to clean and start fresh.
Here are general signs that a detox may help you:
- Low energy
- Skin issues
- GI issues
- Bloating
- Weight gain
- Foggy brain
The detox is a 10 day reset. It is easy to do and significant enough to make an impact. It is actually a great way to impact you microbiome which we talked about last week.
