Organic Thick Rolled Oats
Our Organic Thick Rolled Oats make the perfect meal to start your day. Like our Organic Whole Grain Oats, our Organic Thick Rolled Oats are a good source of phosphorus and thiamin. Just use our easy cooking instructions below (and on every package) to make a delicious and fulfilling breakfast to start your morning.
Oats are also a good source of iron, magnesium, zinc and an excellent source of copper. One serving of this oatmeal provides 4gm of fiber, which is 14% of the daily value of this nutrient. Diets rich in whole grain foods and other plant foods and low in total fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol may reduce the risk of heart disease and some cancers.
Cooking Organic Thick Rolled Oats
Bring water and salt to a boil. Add Organic Thick Rolled Oats, reduce heat to medium-low. Cook and stir occasionally for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand for 2 minutes before serving. Cook slightly longer for creamier oatmeal.
1 serving: ½ cup of oats, 1 cup of water, pinch of salt
2 servings: 1 cup of oats, 2 cups of water, ¼ tsp of salt
